A man was arrested by five ICE agents outside Tacos Victoria, a Mexican restaurant on 7th Street in Downtown Jersey City, on a Saturday afternoon. Witnesses and video showed the man, wearing a pink t-shirt and black track pants, being pulled from a white car and placed into another vehicle before being driven away as onlookers watched. The arrest was first reported via an Instagram story from the account Spirit of Liberation Jersey City. U.S. Representative Rob Menendez said his office contacted the man's family and was pressing authorities for information, stating that ICE's targeting of neighbors does not make communities safer. Local officials said they were unaware of specifics of the incident, ICE did not respond to requests for comment, and the man's identity and current situation have not been made public.
