On June 4, 2026, ICE deported six Honduran nationals to Honduras aboard a military aircraft operated with the Department of War; among them were Santos Alberto Ramos Castillo, Oscar Alvarado Diaz, Fredis David Chavez Mencia, Douglas Garcia-Rivera, Melvin Martinez Izaguirre, and Roje Oliva-Ortiz, each with prior criminal convictions or past removals. Flight-tracking data later showed the Air Force has conducted dozens of additional ICE removal flights from Harlingen, Texas, to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, between June and August 2026, using both C-17 and C-130 aircraft. Human Rights First confirmed that the first three flights, on June 4, 6, and 10, carried third-country nationals from other Central American countries, part of a deal allowing Honduras to accept up to 10 such nationals per month from Spanish-speaking countries; separately, at least 90 Guatemalans have been removed to Honduras outside that agreement's terms. DHS has declined to confirm details about the flights, citing operational security.
