ICE's new national 287(g) coordination center to be built in Nashville
Aug 21, 2026

ICE is building a National Coordination Center in Nashville to support its nationwide 287(g) program, with contractor Koniag Government Services now hiring call center operators for day and night shifts. A federal draft document shows the facility may also handle compliance audits of local law enforcement agencies in the program, with contractors sought to complete about 1,000 assessments annually at the Nashville center and ICE headquarters in Washington. The center is expected to operate around the clock and eventually field more than 7,000 calls per day. Tennessee law now requires sheriffs' offices to participate in 287(g), and the program has grown to 2,462 active agreements nationwide, up more than 1,470 since President Trump returned to office.
